The Small Squares series

These very small paintings in watercolor with acrylic and oil elements are among a growing number of near-miniatures that result from an effort to create a travel-size painting kit small enough to fit easily in a shirt pocket, yet comprehensive enough to allow for the creation of the relatively complex textures which have become a part of my visual-expressive world. The paintings shown here date from September 2013, and are about 2.5 x 2.5 inches square.
