The Ancient Hues series

These new paintings on canvas, ranging from 20 by 20 inches to 4 by 6 feet in size, are part of a collection entitled Ancient Hues. The canvases are now on view at gallery GALA in Cedar City, where the exhibition will continue through 24 September, 2014. Their theme is the hypothesis of a color spectrum that is literally alive. If color were a sentient life form, what would be its purpose? its experience? its legacy?
